Reflection
Meaning & Symbolism: My obsession with drawing eyes continues. This piece in particular was inspired by how it feels to learn something mind-blowing. Or, depending on your mood when you look at the eye, it can mean anxiety.
Anxiety robs you of the present.
I always feel like I’m either looking forward, worried about the future, or looking back, worried about the past. I think that may be why so many of my eye pieces have eyes in extreme positions.

Progress Notes
- 06/13/26 - This was pretty straightforward actually.
- Husband asked if I am intentionally trying to make the iris look separate from the eyeball, and the answer is yes!
Completion Notes
- 06/14/26 - The eye doesn’t look like it’s on a face, but if you look closely, you can see hints of face features (skin color, eye brows). Even so, it’s a really dynamic and emotion-fueled piece.
