Lemon-Lime Prime

Purpose

While this is technically using a presentation book for letter-sized documents, I want it to serve the function of a “doodle book” like the now defunct Doodle Bufonidae or the destroyed Doodlecillin and Doodle Anatomy Sketchbooks.

As my formal “doodle book,” this page will include ideas and an index of finished pieces. I’m going to treat it the same as any other sketchbook, except it’s only for finished pieces. This album will be what I wanted all my other failed doodle books to be.

Sketchbook Goals

• Experiment with different papers. Don’t focus on just one or two…it’s time to use up those papers.
• Be mixed-media like never before. I am no longer tethered to a bound book of a single paper. This is how I include lots of my art supplies together I never get to use in sketchbooks (e.g. Liquitex Acrylic Inks and Bombay India Inks).
• Branch out. This album should include realism and abstract…or both.
• Finish.

Sketchbook Rules

• Art will generally be organized by start date. Though I will definitely have pages I specifically want together.
• I have loose, pre-cut pages of various types in a nice plastic envelope. This is where I’ll hold currently active pieces too.
• Finished pieces will always end up in the albums. No matter where it started.

• Stratified layering in colored pencil (but like the phoenix)
• Torn page with something behind it.
• My old “flower power” doodles but with the skills I have now.
• Gellyroll (06) doodles on toned or black paper.
• Doodle Confetti but all shapes are candy-related (wrappers, gumdrops, lollipop swirls, chocolate squares). Bright colors either colored in or the doodles themselves.
• A disorienting maze. Outlined in fineliner, colored with colored pencil and/or acrylic markers.
• That alien looking design
• Actual Zentangle piece
• Using the dropper as the only source of drawing
• Lungs that are doodled on one side and mystic and colorful
• NEW IDEA: ADHD is the chaos and I have to work between the ADHD lines in order to function, like if anxiety is molten lava in the cracks of my brain, then productivity and executive function are the ordered patterns in the cracks of chaotic ones!
• Geological cross-section with horizontal layers in different media and patterns. Irregular like real rock strata. Each layer represents a different "part" of self. Black and white doodles and patterns at the bottom, color slowly added by top.
