✦ Meaning & Symbolism: Inktober prompt was “Trip” and this is what I thought of.

✦ Why I Love This Piece: The first time I ever participated in Inktober was 2022. I didn’t even finish but I made a couple cool pieces. I really like how much it looks like a coloring book.

✦ Meaning & Symbolism: I was practicing tree textures.

✦ Why I Love This Piece: The textures look really interesting.

Daniel Raddishcliffe

✦ Meaning & Symbolism: I saw this sign on the back of this truck and it looked like a face to me. So I drew it on ProCreate and for some reason it reminded me of Daniel Radcliffe (who I adore). So…Daniel Raddishcliffe.

✦ Why I Love This Piece: It’s silly and I don’t think others appreciate it like I do.

✦ Meaning & Symbolism: I tend to surround myself with pretty things when I struggle. I’ve been known to use shopping as a coping mechanism. But pretty things don’t get rid of struggles.

✦ Why I Love This Piece: I love the way the flowers look and I love the suddenness of the HELP.

✦ Meaning & Symbolism: I love mandalas and I love doodles. This was a very meditative process.

✦ Why I Love This Piece: While this is hand drawn, I used a special setting in ProCreate that mirrors your strokes multiple times (radial). I love this piece so much and it looks super cool. I want to do something similar but in ink.

✦ Meaning & Symbolism: Just a fun digital painting.

✦ Why I Love This Piece: This may be where my love of drawing fish came from. I watched a video of someone creating a koi digitally and followed along. Came out real nice!

Apple Blossoms

✦ Meaning & Symbolism: My grandma used to grow apple trees. I remember the smell and flavor. I’ve always loved apple trees and apple blossoms.

That’s Impossible

✦ Meaning & Symbolism: This was a digital representation of something I created with traditional media a little earlier. I liked the concept so much that I made a digital version that came out looking super cool.

The name “That’s Impossible” comes from my uncle. They were the first words he said when he saw the original traditional media version (below). He said planets could NOT be this close together.

✦ Why I Love This Piece: Actually looks like what I wanted it to. Came out very interesting looking.
