Reflection
Meaning & Symbolism: This one makes me think of an organ being played. Like every time a very long deep, dramatic chord is played, the butterflies wings intensify and start blazing fire. That’s what this piece represents.
Butterfly or crystals?
This one was rough because I created something I loved, then overworked it, then panicked, then created something I liked a lot. It was a whole process but eventually the intensity and movement matched the colors I was trying to go for.

Progress Notes
- 06/13/26 - I wanted to make a hand that was on fire and created wings accidentally. But I really like the direction of this! Let’s see where it goes.

- I keep making things muddy, I need to let this dry and keep working later.
- I finally added the variation I wanted and the contrast of the black lines works well. Metallics will be added last.
Completion Notes
- 06/14/26 - I got the butterfly to where I wanted it, even though I feel like I should have stopped awhile ago. It’s funny because it's clearly a butterfly, but also looks like crystals. I think the butterfly morphs a bit and that’s real interesting.
