On The Go

Purpose

To give me a place to sketch when I’m out and about, especially when it doesn’t make sense to bring anything else. I want to grow my skills and draw more, that’s where this little guy comes in.

Travel Sketch Kit

This is what I travel with (aside from the sketchbook itself).

It seems to fit into any bag well, even smaller ones. If i have a really small bag, I can just abandon the paisley pouch and have everything free-floating.

The only problem is I keep losing stuff.

Sketchbook Goals

Draw more when going out.
Be loose, don’t fret too much, just vibin’
Better my skills and steady my hand more

Sketchbook Rules

Don’t abandon. I want to always have a travel sketchbook and I have one more in the wings ready to use (a new brand 👀 ).
Don’t be too hard on myself. Share all wins!
I want this sketchbook to actually travel with me. Don’t forget it at home.

List Of Subjects I Like Drawing

(Also a list of art block breakers and things to practice!)

Subject	Description
Bugs	Butterflies, moths, spiders, and beetles in particular.
Flowers	All flowers.
Plants	All kinds of plants but I tend to lean towards leafy greens plants. Trees, vines, bushes are common.
Sea Life	I have discovered a particular fondness for drawing fish and marine mammals, as well as marine plants.
Birds	All birds, though I’m not very good at it.
Stones	And rocks, stone buildings, stone paths, but especially when it’s mixed with plants and flowers.
Buildings	Especially when pared with flora.
