Process Notes

After the breakthroughs in the third art therapy session, I wanted to see if I could recapture the magic in another session. However, there needed to be a LOT of changes. The previous session taught us that having all my supplies with me in a comfortable environment would help my stamina.

Planning Notes

• The Week Before - We were in the living room for every art therapy session up to this point, but with how intense the third session was, and how unprepared I was with all the paper I wanted, the materials, my lap desk…I need to better set things up and try to think ahead to what I may need or want in the moment.
• We’ve decided to move our therapy days to the bedroom for comfort. We’re going to set the bed up for me and we bought a collapsable couch for hubby to chill in.
• We’re also creating a playlist on YouTube tailored to the various stages we go through during the session. It’s primarily stuff to inspire ideas and favorite music.
• We’re planning on using a cooler to keep water and snacks in for easy access.
• During the third session, I desperately wanted a blacklight for my neon supplies. I’m going to get one.
• I also need to collect whatever little lights I have to see better with.
