Meaning: The way we twist and turn to fit the perceptions of others.
Twisted
I also believe this represents how we are complex people who might be a little twisted sometimes..

I started learning how to do ribbons and make them look twisted and I want to do this but with colored pencil. Lots of different colors.
Planning Notes
- I want to draw ribbon twists based on how fun it was to draw this tree in the Home Page. I struggled so hard to figure out how to do this twisting effect but once I figured it out it was so fun to draw!

- I want to color the ribbons with colored pencils because I think that will be a fun texture.
- I want to color all the ribbons all kinds of random colors, sort of like I did with Spectrum with literally random colors mixed with other colors.
- What do I do with the background?
Progress Notes
- I’ve struggled with doing twists in different directions but I think I’ve got it.
- Had fun drawing twists, even if some were difficult to do. It took SO LONG to understand the shapes and what they meant. But hopefully this helps my coordination and visual understanding of my art. Next is coloring!

- I don’t think I want to do the random colors anymore, I like the idea of having a bunch of different colors but with each ribbon being chromatically cohesive.
- I usually combine Prismacolor Premier and Faber-Castell Polychromos, but I want to experiment with separating them to see how each one feels individually and together. Sort of like an experiment 👀
- I’ve been googling “ribbon” just to see the shading so I can better choose my colors. I’m realizing that my ribbons are a little too smooth and need some more sharp edges in the turn. I also need to remember to do a sharp twist.
- 4/14/26 - First ribbon done!
