Summary: This page holds the pictures and links to the various art pieces I’ve created while undergoing some personal art therapy sit-down sessions.

Working Through While Working Through

I’ve decided to do art therapy sporadically. Art is a way to communicate, and I want to be able to free my mind enough to process whatever it is I need to work through.

I honestly think all art is art therapy to some extent. It’s taking what’s internal and making it external. This is something I’ve tried to do my entire life because if I don’t have something in my literal vision, I tend to forget it exists. This includes parts of my personality, memories, things I like and don’t like…so I externalize everything I can. Art allows me to do that, especially now that I feel more capable of drawing what I feel.

When I do my sessions, I grab whatever I want to use and just sit and put marks on paper. I go in with absolutely no expectations and with no idea of what I want to create ahead of time.
